Emirates Courier Express will make a maximum of 3 delivery attempts per shipment. Please use our tracking tools and monitor notifications provided to receive updates about estimated delivery times. Ensure that your contact information is up-to-date and accurately captured on the label in case we need to reach you regarding the delivery.
It depends on the agreement between you and the seller and shipper of the goods, and the payment terms agreed. DAP or DDU terms mean the shipper only pays for the shipping charges. All the destination charges, duties and taxes must be settled by the receiver.
Destination charges are calculated based on the commodity being imported, the value of the goods, how the shipper labels the shipment for Customs purposes and the destination country regulations.
Where Customs imposes a charge Emirates Courier Express will pay this on your behalf in the first instance to clear the goods. In the case of DAP or DDU incoterms, you will be required to settle these charges as the consignee, whether you agree to accept delivery of the goods.
